The HSC La Pespes ferry was named for a beautiful bird, the Yellow Oriole, that lives in South America, where she started to fly the sea.

The Egyptian-flagged high-speed craft is a 304-seat passenger vessel, air-conditioned with panoramic windows, snack bar and 10 LCD screens aboard, LA PESPES provides an enjoyable sailing experience among the Red Sea's coasts and Islands.

The road distance between Hurghada and Sharm Elsheikh is about 850 km which takes around 8 to 10 hours by a road transport mean. It is 50 nautical miles by sea. The ferry service reduces the duration of travel between the two cities to less than 3 hours sailing.
